The Artist
Javier's art is influenced by his cross-cultural upbringing having been raised in both México and the U.S. Javier is both a First Generation American son born to Immigrant parents and a Native son of México, a citizen of two cultures and two nations. "Having the honor to be from two lands and dual citizenship has helped me to be open to the world in general, this has always influenced and inspired my art whether it is painting, music, my career goals or living my life."
When he started painting at age 16, he immediately sold work in a solo exhibition in San Francisco. His success continued with exhibitions at The Mission Cultural Center. He also draws from his from his long prosperous career as a Milliner, Costume Designer, Set Decorator and Interior Design for homes, theater and television.
He has worked with The Lorraine Hansberry Theatre, The American Conservatory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Thomas O'Brien of AERO Studios and with Martha Stewart on The Martha Stewart Show. He even has an Emmy Award to his credit. Javier also organized and curated in collaboration with The Mexican Cultural Institute of New York, NoMAA and The Cervantez Institute the first ever Film Tribute in the United States and in New York to Mexican Film Icon María Félix in 2014.
With solo exhibitions in New York since 2013, he plans to continue to exhibit in New York and International cities.
El Artista
El arte de Javier está influenciada por su educación intercultural haber sido criado en México y en los EE.UU. Javier es a la vez un hijo de Primera Generación Americano de Papas Inmigrantes y también un hijo Nativo de México, un ciudadano de dos culturas y dos naciones. "Tener el honor de ser de dos tierras y de doble ciudadanía me ha ayudado a ser abierto al mundo en general, esto siempre ha influido e inspirado mi arte, si es pintura, música, mis objetivos profesionales o vivir mi vida."
Cuando empezó a pintar a los 16 años, de inmediato se vendió trabajo en una exposición individual en San Francisco. Su éxito continuó con exposiciones en el Centro Cultural de la Misión. También saca de su larga carrera próspera como diseñador modista de sombreros, vestuario, decorador y diseño de interiores para casas, teatro y televisión.
Ha trabajado con The Lorraine Hansberry Theatre, The American Conservatory Theatre, Teatro de Repertorio de Berkeley, Thomas O'Brien, de AERO Estudios y con Martha Stewart en The Martha Stewart Show. Incluso tiene un Premio Emmy en su haber. Javier también organizó y curado en colaboración con el Instituto Cultural de México en Nueva York, NoMAA y el Instituto Cervantez el primer Cine Homenaje en los Estados Unidos y en Nueva York para Icono del Cine Mexicano María Félix en el 2014 .
Con exposiciones individuales en Nueva York desde el año 2013, planea continuar a exponer en Nueva York y ciudades internacionales.
